Derek Krzywonski

Derek Krzywonski brings four decades of experience in the HVAC/Mechanical services industry to his role as President of St. Johns Air. Since 2014, Derek has overseen both operations and sales for the organization, guiding its growth and performance across multiple locations in the Southeast. Under his leadership, St. Johns Air has expanded its reputation as a full-service HVAC and refrigeration provider supporting industrial and commercial clients throughout Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. His focus on service quality, customer responsiveness, and operational efficiency continues to be central to the company’s success. Derek became a Partner at Fidelity Building Services Group (Fidelity) when St. Johns Air joined the organization in 2025.

 

Before leading St. Johns Air, Derek served as President of Star Service Inc. of Jacksonville from 2005 to 2014, steering the company through significant operational transitions and service-line expansion. Prior to that role, he owned and operated Kool Solutions, where he gained firsthand experience managing all aspects of a service business, from customer relations and field operations to financial oversight and technical delivery.

 

Derek’s early foundation in the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Field A School instilled in him a strong technical acumen, discipline, and a commitment to high-standards work, principles that continue to influence his leadership today. He also holds a Florida Class A Air Conditioning Contractor License, further reinforcing his expertise in commercial HVAC systems.

 

With a career rooted in technical skill, entrepreneurial drive, and operational leadership, Derek remains dedicated to strengthening service capabilities, developing high-performing teams, and delivering reliable HVAC/Mechanical solutions that support clients across the Southeast.
